Any Oppos out there have a ride that was once common but now extremely rare?
As some of you may know, I have an 85 toyota 2wd SHORTY. There are very few survivors of this generation period where I live. There’s the 4x4 guys keeping those alive, and I see a few 2wd one around town but all are long box, extra cab or highly optioned. The ONLY option on this one was red. Pass side mirror is a dealer add on. Stepside was not an option, that’s some home brew. So my question is; Does anyone out there have an 84-88 zero option short wheelbase toyota work truck? I think I might have the last one.

I have a bone stock, non-4WS 1991 Prelude Si that hasn’t fallen into beater status. They’re an endangered species. Most of the ones left are on their last legs.
The town I live in also has a shockingly clean Citation and a very clean early 90s burgundy Accord EX wagon.

Gorgeous. There used to be millions of those too, that’s a great example.

I can’t remember the last time I saw another a 3rd gen liftback.
And I think I’m only one of five (HYPERBOLE) left in the state with the factory stripes.

been looking since you got yours. You’re right they’re all gone too, just the odd well preserved supra remains.

Not much at all, no. But 80's Toyotas will rust at the sight of a glass of water anyway :D

All the ones in my nice humid climate have either no floor or no frame.

ours was rusting on the boatride over. It has been a 30 year battle the first and third drivers of the family truck have fought against all odds.

As a bonus, it has a camel (tan) interior, which seems to have been less common on black cars than black interior, and even has a matching arm rest, which was an aftermarket purchase at the time the car was new. Never seen another one in any color.

Floors are surprisingly solid. looking for a solid frame. (they’re made from the farts of a now extinct japanese variety of unicorn.)

There’s a 3rd gen lift back local to me.
It’s an automatic.
In a junkyard.
In mud to the floorboards.

someone I know bought a minty citation coupe (2 door with a trunk, not hatch) at an estate sale just for the weird factor, got rear ended and joined it’s long gone brothers. Never thought I’d be sad to hear someone’s citation got wrecked.

He has my old Cutlass (probably 1 of 1 in that color and bodystyle left in Canada), an early Capri (not many left in Canada, either), and an extremely rare mix of options on his SHO.

The one here is a hatch, in that baby blue color that was so common in the 80s. I see it around town quite a bit. I don’t see the Accord wagon as often but I did see it when I was getting groceries today. Going by the license plate it’s the original owner (it has a 7-character plate and Virginia switched its standard plates to 8 characters around 1993).

My mom had an ‘87 1 ton long bed when I was growing up prosthetic leg tan with tan vinyl interior. Grandpa bought it new, gave it to us when we fell on hard times and her car got repo’d. She had it from 3rd grade until I was a freshman in HS.
